Yes, you are right. As a pathologist, I use the terms myxoid, fleshy or glistening to describe connective tissue elements such as cartilage or soft tissues. In this context, this would imply possible teratoma. I use pale, cream and homogeneous to describe a likely seminoma. Embryonal carcinoma is usually necrotic and choriocarcinoma shows a lot of haemorrhage macroscopically.
