Prof. Dasgupta and the team should be congratulated on the enthusiasm with which the journal has embraced the web. As busy clinicians, we appreciate the accessibility and convenience of web based media, as well as the range of communication styles BJUI provides, beyond the printed word. The inclusion of social media (including blogs, twitter etc.) has enabled us to receive up-to-the-minute updates and unparalleled interaction between the readership and the journal. We are no longer just readers, but members of an interactive clinical and research community. This progressive thinking, together with the editorial team’s continued emphasis on high impact research surely accounts for BJUI’s impressive progress over the last few years. Congratulations BJUI, and warmest wishes for the festive season.
